Ssseth/Xylophone is passing away

Post by Arkaron » Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:54 am

For those of you that remember Ssseth (iksar beastlord) and Xylophone (gnome mage), from Exemplar, Alarius, and Poison Arrow:

After a month or so in an ICU experiencing multi-organ failure, family took Ssseth off life support last night and will not intervene after another code per Ssseth's wishes.

This sucks. I miss my friend.

The name Ssseth is familiar, but I can't recall if I ever actually knew the guy. My best wishes to you, his family and friends. It always sucks watching a friend go.

Sorry to hear, and wishing his family well. It's hard to explain to a non-gamer the impact we all had on each other.

I miss alot of people I've played with in EQ. I reloaded EQ for a 20 minute tour, and restarted visiting this site to relive those EQ days. I missed those days a little more when I heard Mystier passed 5 years ago, and now today losing Seth/Zylo.

.

Sisters mine, it may not be my place to say it anymore; but the good wishes and love of all Poison Arrow are with you both. May Ss's final moments be gentle, and if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to ask.

Yeah, we were both friends with Gwildor :(

I've been in touch with a bunch of the old guard S3 would remember.

PS: Tell S3 I expect a scouting report, if we're going to farm the afterlife, I need to know who we need to bring.

/salute to the Fallen of Brell... May the next life be a far more gentle one than this has been for Ssseth. I never got to know Ssseth too well but I have seen him running around. Please pass my condolences along to his family and friends...

This is really sad to hear. My deepest condolences of course to the family and friends.

PA was the only guild I ever really tried to join on Brell. While I never actually became a member (I ended up quitting after applying) I spent a lot of time with them for several months and S3 was one of the nicest guys I met. I chatted with him a lot and its sad to hear this news. If he must go, I hope it's gently. Take care ol' buddy.

Oh no, how very sad. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I also hope his passing is peaceful and gentle.

I think I remember him from raiding with Poison Arrow in ToV with my cleric. It always makes my chest ache when I hear about someone from Brell passing. Like Free said, it's hard to explain to a non-gamer, but this big social experiment we all participated in, invested so much time, energy and ourselves to, left a deep, sentimental imprint.

Always sad to see a Brellian go. I hope he got the best, compassionate care available. Nobody deserves to suffer.

So sorry to hear this, Ark. Also sorry I didn't express it in-game, but I'm not always the best at serious stuff in chat.

Sad news. Condolences to his family, and let them know he was well remembered (possibly more so than they realize).

Correction Mr. President, I DID build this, and please give Lurker a hug, we wouldn't want to damage his self-esteem.

Thanks all, I sent this thread and other posts I collected to Ssseth's family.

I keep waiting to see the gnome mage show up in PoK, even though it's been years since either character logged in, you know?

Mystier passed away? I had no idea :(

My heart goes out to Zylo's family and friends. I don't remember him sadly but it's been 10 years since I played and my memory isn't what it used to be. I hate to see any of us go. It's weird but due to the relationship with people through EQ it's hard to imagine anyone ever being gone, like any of us could log on at anytime and it would be as if we had never left. Weird thing we found in EQ, nothing else quite like it.
