The account has been canceled, the disks destroyed, and I never bothered to install it on my new comp and I must say I am the happier for this. There is so much out there in life that you seemingly miss sitting in your room behind a computer day in and day out.

I've been gone 3 mos now and I must say I don't miss it. At one time EQ seemed inseparable from my physche. Everything was secondary to EQ, I couldn't wait to get home from work to play or skip that boring family party to play. I'd hurry whatever it was I had to do to get home and play...looking back on it now it seems such a waste.

Sure, we can all justify why it is we play...to save money, I live in a boring area, my friends all play etc but the truth is this game at one point takes over our reality and we think of everything in terms of EQ. Even when I wasn't playing my thoughts were of EQ and what I wanted to do when next I played.

Although its been only 3 mos removed, it seems so long ago that I left, I can vaguely remember the events, the quests, the expansions and the people...

But those that I won't forget are.....

Shaski - my best in game friend and one of the sweetest most generous people one could ever get to know. We won't lose touch.

Tenderia - another of the sweetest people and my in game wife for a year

Mecherdon - knowing you my friend I am sure made me a better person, there isn't anyone that more illuminates on how one should be in game and in life.

Flassher - we had many laughs and many good times, it was a pleasure to be in your company on so many adventures.

Rhazz - you were the most proficient monk and most entertaining puller I ever met, some of the most fun I ever had was insulting each other.

Salomea - one of the most generous people in all of EQ. Although we had our ups and downs you are still a treasure.

Topazz - wow, what to say other than one of the sweetest, nicest, friendliest, most generous all round best people. Don't ever change

Former MoD(Minions of Death) members - it was my pleausure to represent you for the several months I did as officer. I thank you for the faith you put in me and enjoyed all the epics we completed.

Tzarok, Ozbee, Eyeluh and other friends from MoD - I had some of the funnest times doing some of the craziest things with you guys. I can't recall how many times I laughed till I cried.

To my other friends I say good luck and may you find what you're looking for. To my detractors let me just say that chances are you never understood me and that my only desire was to help my friends and guild in any way I could, be it pointing out something I believed was stupid, leading raids, organizing xp groups, or trying to get something changed.

I don't know whether to thank you for speeding up my retirement through your lies or tell you to go F yourself. But I believe God has a purpose for everyone, perhaps you were only the means to the end.....
