Which server has the bigger population?

"Cazic has the larger population so they went with Cazic for the name." Are you sure this is true? When all of the other servers were whining about populations being down, we were sitting back and commenting on how our population hadn't changed much. We've even gotten a lot of server transfers from...

Sindarre the Scaled Claw

I can confirm that Sindarre obtained the Crystal Claw of Veeshan, which I believe was part of the GM quest that preceeded the opening of Velious. It ended up involving Mayong Mistmoore, who had been doing some dragon killing.

Sindarre has the title Sindarre the Scaled Claw.

Server lag on raid problems

This has also been happening in RCoD as well. The zone/server lag gets really bad, but chat channels still work (although not perfectly, they weren't lagged as bad as the zone). It also happened in Hate many months ago when the Maestro was bugged where he ended up "on top" of the world. In the case ...

PA praise

I think much of the guild is on Eastern or Central, with a few stragglers that play "later". Poison Arrow is a good guild with good people. They're mature and care about their guild members. Also, they're skilled raiders, obviously looking for more to be able to work on more difficult content. But i...

The War went into full swing 2/2/05

On the night of February 2nd, 2005, the War in the Dreadlands went into full swing. In addition to the regiments of good vs. evil in DL, a named dragon spawned which was killed by Sojo (I think, I wasn't paying close attention). The dragon dropped 4 Elemental quality gear (again, I didn't pay that c...

Take that, gamepad bards!

Those damn gamepad bards (you know who you are) ruin the fun for everyone! Actually, I haven't AE kited in, um, about 40 levels... I'm glad to hear they are keeping the range when you're standing stationary. I love standing around on a raid, with the enchanters casting color cloud, AE'ing masses of ...

Sol Ro Minis

A lot of guilds are capable of doing Sol Ro minis. Sol Ro minis are done regularly by various guilds and pickup raids. Group with people in TSR and get to know which guilds are going. It's all about networking.

Re: Hedge

The Hedge was the first raid where I was the sole leader, so I can speak to it a little. The preflag is to go to "sick bay" in Tranquility, find Elder Poxborne (Thelin), lying on the ground. Talk to his caretaker, Adroha Jezith, and say "tortured by nightmares". Get your 18 people to the hedge in Po...

Hand of the Maestro

The Hand of the Maestro can be 1 grouped now. I was in a group of 5, I think, and it wasn't a balanced group by any means, and we took him down without much difficulty. The Hand is also VERY EASY to get to now. Go grab one of the new Hate maps, buy a few port stones, and port up with you and your fr...

Re: Smedley is a manager

Yeah, I think a lot of people still think SOE is run the same way it was when the company was called Verant. Developers ran the show back then. We hardly ever heard from management, except to cheer on the latest subscription numbers. Lately, the developers have been pushed into the background. Smedl...

Re: Permanent?

I don't think SOE has said for sure, but they are probably not permanent. Likely to only be there about a week (perhaps even ending as soon as Sunday night/Monday morning). Same with the skeleton armies and fabled named mobs.

Re: Haste augments

Correct, the haste augments at the wayfarers are just like other item haste. The best haste item will be the one applied to your attack speed.

Re: pet buff AA

There were plenty of bards very excited by that AA ability. I guess we weren't as vocal as the whiners who thought it cost too much. Though now you notice most bards complaining we get no new AAs (just rehashes of old stuff) with this expansion, that's what you get from SOE when you complain... Oh w...

I think SOE forgot how to code bards...

Bards lost "Aria of Companionship" aka Pet Affinity for bards. Want to bet that it's because they couldn't get it to work right? Does anyone at SOE know how to write code for bards anymore? It would have been fun to group with beastlords, mages, and necros and actually help their pets (or damn even ...

Nedaria's location

Nedaria is in the EC tunnel, sitting down next to the injured guy who told them to build the ship, who is lying on the ground. They are off to the side, next to one of the mass enchant spell merchants.

The best bet for pickup groups in LDoN is to keep a list of people you want to group with again. If you do LDoN a lot, you will start to see the same people LFG at the same time every night. When you find someone good, add them to the list, and group with them again. I generally group with a couple ...

Bazaar Stability

I have a character as a trader in the bazaar almost every night. Lately, it does seem as if in the morning, I am at server select screen or login screen more than usual. I read something on another board somewhere, that someone from another server had been trying to figure out why this was happening...
